The Officers of INTECOL are delighted to learn that Professor Alan P. Covich, a member of the Board of INTECOL and Director Institute of Ecology University of Georgia, has been elected to serve as the New President of the Ecological Society of America from 2006 to 2007. The Officers and other Board members most warmly congratulate him on this honour, and we wish him and the Ecological Society of America every success. We very much look forward to a continuing close co-operation between the Ecological Society of America and INTECOL in the coming years.
